Local Party Organization

For those interested in forming a local chapter of the Pirate Party, we will supply you with materials and advice to help you get started, as well as possibly put you in contact with other people in your area who might already be interested.

  • Before you can be considered an official local chapter, you must read and observe the Points of Unity which all local chapters must abide by.
  • Email info@pirate-party.us or hop on the IRC channel and get in contact with a national board member to express your interest in starting a local chapter - include your background in political organizing, technical skills, where you want to get organized, what kind of community you are working in, and your thoughts about how to further encourage growth of local parties.
  • If everything checks out, after an accreditation process you will be considered a local contact.

As a local contact for the Pirate Party, we will mail you a box of materials which you can distribute to other people in your areas who are interested in becoming involved. This package can include : pirate party pamphlets, posters, pirate patches, stickers/labels, CDs, and other materials designed to educate existing chapter members, or be distributed at events your party participates in.

If you are interested in starting a local chapter, send all inquiries to info@pirate-party.us or hop on irc.pirate-party.us and join channel #uspirateparty to talk with a staff member who will help you get started. Alternatively, you can also post in the Forum for each state if you want to recruit others or see if anyone else is already interested.
